My Story

I’m a Nashville native, born and raised in the city. I graduated high school at Montgomery Bell Academy in spring 2021 and in the fall enrolled to study at Oxford College of Emory University as a Woodruff Scholar. While at Oxford, I immersed myself in the school’s tight-knit community, becoming involved in the Oxford Catholic Student Union, the Irish Cultural Club, the Economics Club, and the Student Council. While there, I completed the pre-requisites for Emory’s Goizueta business school, earning credits for courses in accounting, economics, calculus, and statistics alongside the schools general education requirements and those of the history major. At Oxford, I also conducted and presented research on the economic history of the state of Connecticut. I completed my “defense” of the research in March 2022, giving a ninety minute presentation and Q&A to select students and faculty, and created a culture of innovation that persists to this day, as students intent on pursuing honors theses as upperclassmen have continued to use that March timeslot to present research done at the freshman and sophomore levels. I concluded my Oxford experience with a semester abroad in Vienna, Austria, in spring 2023, perhaps the highlight of my college experience, and where I learned to speak fluent German.

During the 2023 fall semester, I transferred to Emory’s Atlanta campus, where I discovered my passion for the law. Attending law school admissions fairs and campus career events allowed me to more thoroughly understand the day-to-day life of an attorney and see that my skills acquired through my study of history, such as research and technical writing, made the field a natural choice for me. Since then, I scored a 171 on the LSAT and gained admission to the University of Texas at Austin, which I will attend in fall 2025. My college experience has given me a better understanding of how to work with deadlines, the process of giving and receiving feedback, and made me an eager learner with a hunger to be the best. Go Eagles and Hook ’em!
