Work Experience

I’ve been working for as long as I can remember. Instead of going to preschool, I helped my family by working as a waiter at their restaurant during low-volume hours, such as the late morning and late afternoon, giving my tips to my grandparents and helping count the money at the end of my shifts. By middle school, I was working at my Boy Scout troop’s Christmas tree lot, wielding chainsaws to fit trees to their stands and tying them to the roofs of customers’ cars. Throughout high school, I supplemented the Christmas Tree lot with jobs as a line cook for BurgerFi and as a landscaper for my local country club.

At the age of fifteen, I became first involved in politics by phonebanking for Tennessee State Senate candidate Brent Moody, where I also worked to distribute promotional campaign literature. Later, in college, I interned at the Nashville office of Senator Bill Hagerty in summer 2022 and 2023. While there, I answered constituent phone calls, directed them to government agencies, expedited green cards and federal permits, assisted in the planning and execution of events, and wrote a short history of every county in Middle Tennessee, including relevant economic and social peculiarities.

My work experience has enabled me to develop several key skills for productivity in the workplace. From my service jobs, I learned the value of promptness, consistency, persistence, and the value of procedure. From my work in government and sales, I gained experience with Microsoft Office, interpersonal skills, and resourcefulness, as well acquiring a desire to go above and beyond in all my endeavors. From these positions, I think I have become a better and more mature person, as well as a far more valuable employee.
